Responsibilities and tasks
The position holder will report to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for:
- Manage the balance between availability of products and materials versus minimization of stock
- Leadership role for a team of 60 people
- Responsibility for the whole Supply Chain (production planning, material management, procurement, inventory control, warehouse, logistics)
- Ensure production schedules submitted to manufacturing are translated to production line requirements, including consideration of labour, material, and manpower capacities
- Create, deploy, and monitor metrics scorecards to ensure production meets or exceeds throughout and efficiency goals
- Improve and control plan fulfilment and backlog in the plant
- Lead and maintain close collaboration with suppliers that supply the manufacturing site
Ensure contracts and quality of all incoming and outgoing suppliers meet or exceed company standards for service, safety, and specification compliance - Lead strategic and operational purchasing, production planning and responsible for the sales inventory and operations planning process (SIOP)
- Responsibility for supplier management
- Responsibility for planning and controlling production resources, material requirements and material availability to ensure ability to deliver (ATP) and on-time delivery (OTD)
- Communicate with sales & finance, prepare forecast to meet delivery schedules
- Minimize inventory
- Optimize product margins
- Control of the inventory management process: control and optimization of internal stock and external consignment stock
- Continuous improvement of the process according to LEAN methods
- Manage and optimize backlogs
Search profile
Required Know how/experience:
- Master’s/bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management
- Knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling
- More than 5 years of proven success in leading a larger team in production planning, supply chain and inventory management
- Experience and track record in managing a complex product variety and a complex supply chain
- Experience in project business
- Experienced in leading with KPIs
- Very good English and German language skills
- High Seniority

- Experience with American stakeholders
- Experienced in Six Sigma and LEAN methods
- Experienced in Matrix-Organisations
- International experience
- Very good communication and presentation skills
