GE Aerospace is becoming a standalone company. To support Engineering in Germany strengthening its footprint in Germany we are looking for a Financial Controller to support managing the finances of Aerospace Engineering.You will report into GE Aerospace’s Finance Manager for Germany.
You will support the financial planning and analysis and independently build reporting tools to provide management with timely financial and operational finance data. As technology projects are financed by national and European grants, you will be responsible for the financial compliance and its impact for the operational profitability. Your project finance knowledge will enable you to support external audits as well as determine financial metrics key to steer the operation.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Support leadership with Financial Planning and Analysis for Germany
- Build bottom-up planning process in Hyperion and lead variance analyzes
- Manage, track financial movements for externally funded contracts and impact on Engineering PnL (monthly /quarterly) – revenue, billing, pre-finances
- Lead pacing business forecasts before, during and after the quarter close
- Manage key closing processes including monthly business review with operational leaders through understanding of key business drivers
- Build and manage lean tools for quarterly reporting and lead variance analyzes
- Ensure project data reporting is in line with GL, ERP and management reporting
- Manage and deep dive into Financial KPIs for the acquisition of external funds
- Assist in preparing Budgets, Forecast
- Support quarterly review / presentations including key finance inputs through various management reporting tools
- Ensure that financial processes are robust and in line with grant funding rules
- Drive improvements to impact operational performance and partner with operational leaders to seek process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
- In-depth understanding of connectivity between project accounting and project finances across multi-year cycle
- Knowledge of external funding contracts and regulations is a plus
- Strong analytic and modelling skills: able to link project financials to operations
- Agility: Adjust to changing environment while upholding performance
- Deep knowledge of standard accounting systems
- Fluent in English and German
