We are currently looking for a Finance Project Controller (f/d/m) for our Product Line Digital & Integrated Systems.

The role includes Finance Business partnering to the Project Managers on Digitalization & Infrastructure projects of the site. Main objective is to ensure, that the projects are under financial control and the projects budgets are spent efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Continuously assessing, monitoring and communicating financial risks and opportunities of the projects, proposing action plans to improve the project’s Estimate at Completion as well as corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
- Jointly preparing project reviews on-time together with the Project Managers, ensuring the correct reporting of the financial situation of the projects according to ALSTOM accounting & reporting rules
- Providing transparency on the financial project data in required quality, ensuring consistency with projects teams (planner, sourcing, …), giving awareness to project teams and senior management
- Following up on actual spends versus budget and forecast, and continuously provide latest financial outlook and early warnings. In case of deviations, support and follow up on recovery plans.
- Preparing of project budgets & forecasts
- Controlling of cash in- and outflows
- Providing frequent updates on escalation and inflation impacts on the projects
- Initiating and monitoring invoicing and cash-in of project milestones including management of project related bonds together with Treasury department
- Performing month, quarter and year end closing activities
- Calculating variation orders
- Preparing ad hoc analyses
- Validating purchase order requests
- Being interface on Internal & External Controls for the projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master of Economics/Finance
- Proven experience in Financial Controlling
- Project Controlling experience would be a strong plus
- Proven experience with SAP FI/CO
- SAP BW, Qlik and Primavera would be a plus
- English business fluent is mandatory for this role, German knowledge would be a strong added plus
