We offer two postdoc positions within the Medical Center - University of Freiburg.
The successful candidates will join an international multidisciplinary research team led by
Prof. Dr. Irina Nazarenko.
Project: EVs are mediators of intercellular communication and a promising target for medical research. Our group studies the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in carcinogenesis and their translational application in liquid biopsy and therapy. Among other things, we are interested in developing new technologies for the isolation of EVs from body fluids and their quantitative analysis. In the context of a BMBF project aimed at studying extracellular vesicles and supporting the development of new technologies for the isolation of extracellular vesicles and analysis in liquid biopsy, we are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher. The successful candidates will work in an interdisciplinary team in a clinical setting, design and perform the experimental work for this research project, write high quality research publications, and supervise research projects of Master and Bachelor students.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in biology or related field with an excellent publication record preferably in EV field
- Solid experience in state-of-the-art cell, molecular biology, biochemistry techniques.
- Profound knowledge in biochemistry
- Sound knowledge in extracellular vesicles is an advantage
- Creative innovative thinking
- Experience on project management (importance of scheduling, deliverables, reporting)
- Motivation, high precision of work and the ability to conduct independent research and also enjoys working in an international and interdisciplinary environment
- Proven English presenting and writing skills
We offer:
Two full positions (1.0 FTE) for a period of three years beginning March and May 2023.
A successful candidate will join a highly motivated and qualified international research team working on a challenging project on the frontiers of research and technology in cooperation with partners in Freiburg and word-wide.
