Intro

atmio is on a mission to save 1 Billion tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly which is as much as all emissions from commercial aviation worldwide. We are building a smart greenhouse gas measurement platform with portable sensor technology for energy companies that have to quantify, report, and reduce methane emissions.

We are at the beginning of building a team of best-in-class talents, to solve this challenge, and tackle climate change!

Tasks

  • Design and Development for Manufacturing: Take a leading role in designing and developing electronic systems with a keen focus on manufacturability and ATEX compliance. This involves circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout optimization for production, and building prototypes that are easily scalable to production volumes.
  • Programming and Software Development with Production in Mind: Develop software and firmware for microprocessors and embedded systems (ESP32, STM32), ensuring code is optimized for efficient manufacturing and deployment. Create tools that streamline the production process, such as automated testing scripts and firmware update mechanisms.
  • Assembly processes and Optimization: Work closely with the production team to set up assembly processes for electronic devices. This includes designing jigs and fixtures, selecting suppliers and equipment, and optimizing the assembly process for speed and quality.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting in Production: Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for electronic systems during production to ensure each unit meets strict quality and functionality standards. Troubleshoot and refine production processes based on testing feedback to minimize defects and improve yield.
  • Servicing, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement: Provide ongoing technical support for devices post-production, including servicing and maintenance. Use feedback from the field to continuously improve product design and production processes, ensuring devices remain competitive and reliable.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with coursework or projects focused on manufacturing and production engineering.
  • Technical Expertise in Production-Ready Design: Knowledge of electronics and microprocessor architecture with a specific focus on design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA). Proficiency in programming languages relevant to microprocessor programming and production automation, such as C and Python.
  • Experience with Production Equipment and Processes: Hands-on experience with setting up and optimizing electronic assembly processes, including working knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment, soldering processes, and automated testing setups.
  • Proficiency with Testing Tools and Production Quality Standards: Experience with electronic testing equipment relevant to production, such as automated optical inspection (AOI), in-circuit testing (ICT), and functional testing setups. Knowledge of industry quality standards and certifications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills in a Production Environment: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify bottlenecks, reduce production costs, and solve complex issues in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Adaptability and Process Improvement: A continuous improvement mindset, willing to adapt and implement new technologies and engineering practices to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, especially in cross-functional teams that include production, quality assurance, and supply chain professionals.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required.
