Job Title: Distribution Sales Area Manager

We are looking for a Distribution Account Manager for our ISD department in EMEA.
The location of the role is open to consideration, although Northern Area is preferred. To be close to ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands or Stuttgart, Germany, would be an advantage, but not necessary.

You are responsible for the following:
Responsible for developing Inspection Systems Division EMEA sales with selected partners within our Channel Distribution Sales Network, supporting those partners with the customers’ requests, maintaining their skills at the highest level as well as developing our customers' network and possibly investigating new markets, operating within a European and Global team to provide Omron value manufacturing solution to our customers.
We are looking for a salesperson who can manage a certain number of Distributors as well as customers to develop new or existing accounts in relation to the help of our European Team and OMRON Inspection Systems Division in Japan.

OMRON Inspection Systems Division (ISD) is a world leader in state-of-the-art 3D optical and X-ray inspection systems (SPI, AOI, AXI systems). These machines are used in the electronic manufacturing industry, mainly in automotive, medical, 5G and other quality-driven industries. Omron is an established manufacturer holding numerous patents in the inspection field for many years.
OMRON Inspection Systems Division is a part of OMRON Industrial Automation Business Division which can provide global solutions to our customers' thanks to the biggest portfolio in the industry, including Robotics and Automation products.
Your responsibilities:
  • Manage a nominated number of Distribution partners with regular visits
  • Expand business opportunities with existing and new customers via our distributors
  • Recognise and develop Omron Value solutions with new and existing customers.
  • Organize and support demonstrations of our value solutions with our distributors and our Service and Support Team.
  • Identify future opportunities and manage pipeline/forecast
  • Report project status & develop sales strategies to win projects
  • Participate in local Exhibitions & seminars

Reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager ISD Business Division

Your Skills and Experience:
  • An Electronic Manufacturing Process background is preferred.
  • Sales experience in Electronic SMT Industrial Equipment required; Ability to negotiate at all Management levels.
  • Fluent in English; good communication skills (oral and written) in German. Spoken language with ISD colleagues and most customers is English.
  • Able to work independently (for example, at customer locations) and able to prioritize activities.
  • Team player; Flexible; working from home-office (Northern Europe area is an advantage)
  • Willingness to travel (mostly inside Europe); Good inter-cultural awareness.
  • Good IT knowledge: Knowledge of AOI and AXI is a plus.
