Job Overview:

Part of the Value-Added network Product team, the purpose of the role is to manage Access Network products as (SDLAN or Cloud based Guest solutions) and achieve their strategic technical, financial and customer satisfaction objectives. They bring expertise in the campus network wireless and security fields. The User Connectivity Product team is responsible for various products comprising but not limited to, Wireless and mobility, security, and LAN services. This role will shape the strategy of the assigned products in line with the Group strategic plans and manage the performance of the product line throughout its product life cycle.

As a Product Manager you will be a key member of the Product Management team and will be the technical expert on LAN.  Wireless and other Access Network Products, technologies and competitive positioning with a focus on the wireless LAN product line. You will play a key role in providing detailed technical information to our partners, customers, and internal employees. You will concentrate on support for pre-sales activities, working with key accounts and field teams, responding to solution engineer’s inquiries, and assisting in Customer Proof of Concept trials.
The individual must be a highly motivated self-starter, well organized able to work independently, and identify needs within the organization and address them as needed

Responsibilities:

o  Author whitepapers, technical briefs, presentations and other collateral that highlight and differentiate the technical aspects of User Connectivity  products and solutions.

o  Perform in-depth technical analysis of competitive product offerings

o  Be the subject matter expert on the product to help systems engineers with product related questions

o  Work in concert with product line managers to review and refine product requirements and direction based on business and customer priorities

o  Provide technical assistance with customer RFPs

o  Deliver technical presentations to customers, partners, internal sales and field engineering teams

o  Understand Network Acces products and capabilities with a real-customer environment perspective

o  Spend time with customers gathering feedback and then inject that feedback into the design cycle

o   Analyze and understand market trends and the customer needs

o   Articulate and document the product vision strategy and define the target market in line with market trends customer needs and SITA strategy

o   Establish and implement an effective channel 'go to market' strategy for the products to include an agreed and executed sales and marketing plan

o   Support bid management processes and pre-sales customer interactions

o  Product Innovation/Definition

o   Define product functional requirements

o   Guide product development project throughout the build/launch process to ensure delivery of the right product to market within the agreed timescales

o   Participate in cross functional teams that ensure the timely/cost effective and quality delivery of product developments and product performance

o   Contribute to the management of partnerships and supplier relationships

o   Monitor and manage the cost structure related to the product

o  Product Roadmap/ Life Cycle Management / Performance

o   Develop and manage the product roadmap throughout the lifecycle from conception to retirement, covering the quote to bill chain on ordering, installation, field services, management, monitoring, support, and billing

o   Track the product(s) P&L revenue new business and profitability including competitive pricing of the product(s) in the marketplace to achieve desired sales volumes/optimized profit

o  Product Marketing/Value Proposition/Market Intelligence

o   Define and develop the product value proposition

o  Product Pricing Strategy

o   Define a pricing strategy for the product(s)

o   Ensure that key players understand the pricing strategy and apply it

o  Product Management Practice

o   Ensure communication of the project plans progress tracking' to all relevant parties.

o   Comply with Product Management procedures and best practice

o   Act as coordinator for those working on the product development stage gate and product projects.


Your Profile

Key skills and Qualifications:

o  Minimum 3-5 years of development, technical marketing, support, or systems engineering experience

o  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

o   Technologies: Knowledge of LAN switches, WLAN access points, WLAN controller, passive optical network PON, GPON, wifi guest captive portal, network access control NAC, wifi survey, radio coverage, lan assessment, industrial LAN, Firewall, VPN, network access control NAC, segmentation, MIFI routers

o   Vendor knowledge: Cisco, Meraki, HP Aruba…
