Your Responsibilities
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/t), you will play a central role in implementing our "Growing Green" mission at RWE Generation. We are planning to be climate-neutral by 2040 and are looking for committed employees who will drive forward the digitalisation required for this at RWE.
RWE Generation is going to the cloud, utilising RWE’s Azure landing zone and implementing DevOps ways of working. We seek “hands on“, flexible and committed people to join us. - Utilising RWE’s corporate Azure landing zone, you will work with Agile development teams to design, implement and operate cloud infrastructure
- Prepare Infrastructure solutions for Use Cases on our Data/Digital Platforms, and support migration of our application portfolio to cloud
- Analyse system environments and infrastructure needs; developing and configuring cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Responsible for implementation and configuration of infrastructure platform solutions
- Optimise infrastructure, ensuring that performance and security requirements are always met
- Maintain operational aspects of Network Design & Configuration, Capacity Management etc.
- Create implementation guidelines and collaborate with developers to implement best practice
Your Profile
- Experience working within, and with, applications teams for optimising applications in cloud
- Strong MS Azure environment knowledge supported with appropriate Azure Certification
- Experience of Azure Services (such as Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Event Hub, Stream Analytics, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Azure Function)
- Experienced with implementing Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform
- Experience in Advanced SQL, Azure DevOps, SCRUM, and Microsoft Well-Architected Framework is advantageous
- University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) or significant relevant experience
- Good language skills in English
