Business Intelligence Analyst (Working Student/Intern) (M/W/D)

Example product use case - Rehabilitation

When a patient needs to be transferred to a rehabilitation clinic after a hospital stay, hospital staff currently have to:

• fax (yes, fax...) forms to the patient's insurance to ask whether they are eligible for rehabilitation

• find an available clinic offering the needed services (generally done by calling many and sharing patient data via fax).

With RECARE, hospital staff upload all relevant patient information in one place with the click of a button directly from the hospital’s information system, and can share it securely with all parties involved. An automated search is then started to find an available spot within our network of rehabilitation clinics.

Rehabilitation is just one of our use cases, we also cover care, transport, medical supplies and hospital transfers. Our product combines a SaaS with a marketplace to automate time-intensive tasks and free up hospital resources for patients rather than processes.

How you will make an impact as a working student in business intelligence:

Our teams are constantly using data products, be it for reporting to customers, managing sales and onboarding pipelines, reporting and communicating internally or simply keeping an eye on the marketplace’s performance metrics. As a BI Analyst, you will be supporting the BI team in designing, building and maintaining such products.

• You improve and maintain our Looker instance.

• You incorporate new data sources to our warehouse.

• You collaborate with technical teams on data related projects.

• You build dashboards to support our operations and product teams.

• You use data to identify trends and root causes of business problems.

• You participate in AGILE ceremonies and planning sessions as an active member of the BI team; you provide input in process optimisations and support addressing stakeholder feedback.

Before anything else : this is not a Machine Learning position, your interest should lie in analytical and data visualisation tasks, we will of course consider applicants with a ML background if they demonstrated experience and interest in the latter.

What you will need to succeed as a business intelligence analyst :

• You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in university or business school with a quantitative focus (computer science, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field).

• You have some prior experience working in the data analytics fields either as an intern or working student

• You have a good eye for detail and you possess the ability to work and solve problems autonomously, to think critically and to be able to produce high quality analysis which create real value for stakeholders.

• You have experience in using SQL and data visualisation tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) and are motivated to develop your skill set.

• You have a good understanding of data modelling and descriptive and inferential statistics.

• You have solid communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

• You have an excellent command of English both in writing and speaking; German would be a plus.

• Working Student : You are able to work 20 hours per week / Intern : You are available for 6 months
